Congratulations young lady!
West Virginia is represented at the National Student Leadership Summit for the first time this week in Indianapolis. Mariella Policano, a volleyball and basketball player at Notre Dame High School; Hadleigh Cossin, a volleyball player and rising junior at Point Pleasant High School; and Carson Austin, a golfer and rising senior at Montcalm High School, are among 220 student ambassadors from 30 states, Canada and Honduras taking part in the four-day event hosted by the NFHS. The summit brings together student leaders for keynote speakers, workshops and a Unified Sports Experience with Indiana Special Olympics athletes, all focused on developing the skills to lead in their schools and communities.
