WVSSAC Statement Regarding Class AA Cheerleading Championships

The West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission has completed a review related to the scoring of the 2025 WVSSAC Class AA Cheerleading Championship.

Following the conclusion of the championship event, Lincoln High School administration submitted an inquiry regarding the application of the tumbling rubric used during scoring. After a detailed review and analysis of the inquiry, the WVSSAC has determined that a clerical scoring and recording error occurred in the tumbling sub-score. Upon correction of this clerical error, the final team scores result in a tie between Lincoln High School and Westside High School.

Accordingly, the WVSSAC recognizes Lincoln High School and Westside High School as 2025 WVSSAC Class AA Cheerleading Co-State Champions. The WVSSAC congratulates both Lincoln High School and Westside High School on outstanding seasons.
