Divisions: Small Varsity (5-15 participants), Medium Varsity (16-19 participants), Large Varsity (20-23 participants)
Championship Format: The WVSSAC Game Day Invitational, set for September 20, 2025, at Morgantown High School, will feature cheer teams showcasing their sideline leadership and school spirit through a series of routines. In the Qualifying Round, each team performs a Band Chant, Crowd Leading, and Fight Song routine, with an emphasis on crowd involvement, effective use of props, and game day practicality. The top teams advance to the Final Round, where they deliver a three-minute performance that combines these elements with a response to a situational cue, such as an offense or defense scenario. Judges evaluate effectiveness, execution, and connection with the crowd, with division winners determined solely by Finals scores.

Awards:
Team awards will be given out by the WVSSAC. Only the Division Winner award will be given an award. The official results and team placements will be determined solely by the cumulative scores from the FINALS round only. Again, the Qualifying Round scores will not carry over to determine final team standings.
Nationals Bids:
This event does serve as a qualifier for GAME DAY divisions at Varsity Spirit Nationals’ events. Teams meeting the criteria to qualify and receive such recognition will be notified in the week following the event. No announcements will be made on-site during the event. Additionally, the number of teams that will receive this recognition is unknown and will solely be determined through the procedural processes in place for determining if a team meets the criteria.
